Wood Farm Caravan Park

***** (4.5/5.0)
Jurassic Fossil Beach at Charmouth
Visit Wood Farm and experience the beautiful surroundings and spectacular rural scenery. The Park is in the care of our dedicated team whose sole aim is to provide the ideal family holiday. We pride ourselves on our well kept grounds, excellent recreational facilities and amenities.
The Park lies on the Dorset / Devon border. The area is famous for its rugged coastline littered with fossils from the Jurassic Age.

This was our first time in our carvan and first family holiday with our 22 month old boy. Despite the rain over the spring break it was great.

The Caravan site is quiet, safe, sheltered and very well run. The facilities are good too. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The site was 100% full dring our stay, but you would not have known as the site is well managed and organised. Furthermore the other campers were very considerate.

The problems we had on holiday were not the sites problems. but our own - awning is so old it ripped and our son with a 39.9 temperature! He's doing well now and with thanks to the staff on site who told us where the nearest hospital (Dorchester) is at 8pm!

The only down side would be that the chip van is a little expensive and the A35 doesn't quieten down until late at night (10pm) or later on Fridays. Though neither bothered us as we ate out mostly and the pitch we had was surrounded by a hedge which made it private and cut out noise from the road and the wind!

We would recommend it to others and go again.

A clean and tidy site in a great tourist area. Nearby is the long sandy beach and village of Charmouth and the Heritage Coast Path.

The coastline hereabouts is famous for its fossils, and the kids will enjoy guided fossil hunts - ours did!

Lots to see and do in the area.
