Had been going to Sandylands for years but decided to buy a tourer and put it on for the season! The entertainment was great as usual with something for all the family and staff as friendly and helpful as ever. The downsides of touring was the price, far too expensive and inflating every year as i was told. Also the toilet/shower block was a disgrace, very run down and full of cobwebs and with the chemical toilet round the back, hardly hygenic. Come on Sandylands with the money you must be rakin in at least cater for tourers needs!

Staff were great but caravan was awful. We paid for a silver van hoping for some comfort but were hugely dissapointed. Day 1 we discovered the kettle didn't work and on day 2 we realised that the microwave didn't work either. The kitchen light was hanging by its cable and the ironing board was broken.Every time we used the hoover there was a nasty smell coming from it.

We recently stayed there for a week, cant fault the staff but the touring area leaves a lot to be desired. The toilet block has gaps in the doors, showers are only hot in the morning, chemical and grey water go in the same place, and if it rains the place is amuck hole. we got woken up every night by the freight trains and the van shuddered every time,so you wont catch me there again unless they up grade the touring facilities. But the staff do a great job.

Have recently travelled all over the west coast looking for the right park first, obviously cost and budget came into our decision to purchase our first holiday home. Would just like to thank the friendly young lady sales person that showed us around and explained everything so comprehensively. All of our questions were answered and she took so much time and trouble to find exactly what we were looking for, we are now looking forward to many years of happiness in our new holiday home. A big thankyou.

just back from sandylands after one night of camping it was ment to be 5 days but on arriving we were told that the camping didnt have electric hook ups although thats what was booked over the telephone. They eventually found us a bit of muddy grass next to the railway line to pitch the tent. Monday night we were flooded as it was torrential rain and we were on a hill we all had to sleep in the car. The next day we had to book into a hotel for the night as all our bedding clothes etc were soaked. The staff were not interested even though i told them we had a disabled daughter with us.Had the cheek to ask us if we enjoyed it and they were met with a very nasty answer from me !.

Touring site was very flat and close to all amenities, only one thing that spoiled the holiday was that touring field was only a few feet away from a very busy railway line. The club was very quiet in May but it was very clean and well stocked.
