Craig Tara Holiday Park

****O (3.5/5.0)
Picture of Craig Tara Holiday Park, Ayrshire, Scotland
There’s an ‘out there’ feel to everything here, from the eye-opening, multi-level indoor pool complex and 9-hole golf course, to the awesome sunsets over the Isle of Arran.
It’s action-packed too, with loads of sports, outdoor activities and a vibrant nightlife filling 2 ShowBars. Take the ferry across to Arran, discover nearby Ayr or invade Culzean Castle.

Feel free to fill each day in just your own way. Every family is different of course, but a typical day might begin with a lazy lie in or a family B Fit session. It could be a morning in the Large Multi-Level Indoor Pool Complex with Flumes and Slides, or trying your hand on the 9-hole Golf Course.
Lunch out at a great little pub or pop into our Mash and Barrel: Lounge-Bar-Café. Afternoon try the Climbing Wall with Abseiling, explore Ayrshire or relax with a game of Mini Ten-Pin Bowling.
Early evening enjoy a stroll on the beach, a sunset bike ride or a game of bowling. Then head off to the ShowBar for a drink, live music and dancing.
So, whether it's out and about or staying on the Park, you're sure to have a great holiday at Craig Tara.

We stayed at Craig tara and really enjoyed it, the site is lovely, there is a lot of things to do there, there was a panto on through the day for the kids this year as well as the night shows, it's also very close to the beach. The food is lovely in the mash & barrel pub. The site is clean and tidy. The evening is also great for shows and bingo, the staff are lovely and friendly, and get everyone dancing on a night time, it was a fun stay for us and our kids, loved it.

We were recently at craig tara holiday park with our touring caravan. We were very disappointed with the standard of campsite. We did not find it reassuring that we were not inside the complex and had no security for our van, awning and property. We did not know that it is not suitable for people with walking disabilities as it was on a steep hill and a long walk. The toilets and showers were clean but very old and in very bad condition. As a seasonal tourer we would in no way recommend this site.
