I booked a weekend over the phone at which point I was advised that ALL facilities would be open. Arrived at reception and told them that I would like to change our booking from 3 people to 4 as my granddaughter had invited her friend along that afternoon in school. The receptionist punched a couple of keys on her keypad and said that will be £15 please!! When I asked to speak to the Manager all she said was that I should read the T&C’s. Given that I made the reservation by phone and was not sent any T&C's I don't see how I could have read them. The Manager did not want to understand that I felt the £15 was excessive for what took 10 seconds for them to update. All she seemed concerned with was flashing the T&C's in front of me and saying I had to pay. I felt that she lacked any level of customer service and only seemed interested in taking our money. I said I understood that some sites charge an administrative fee for making amendments but that £15.for punching a few keys to add 1 child to the reservation was excessive. This was met with another reference to me having to read the T&C's!! I protested and said that I wanted to make an official complaint to the owners and was told that I was welcome to do that but all correspondence would have to come through her at reception!! I reluctantly paid and went to our pitch.
That night we got the kids dressed up to visit the entertainment complex only to find it was closed!! Other facilities that were advertised as being on site (restaurant & outdoor swimming pool) were also closed.
The next day I mentioned to reception that ALL facilities were not available as informed over the phone and again I was referred to the T&C's. I doubt that the owners are aware of the attitude of their Managers, but being a privately owned business, there doesn’t appear to be anyway of contacting them without going through the very people that I wished to complain about!!
Suffice to say that I will not be staying at this site again

Freshwater Beach Holiday Park was our first venture into the touring world and ensured it won't be our last. We didn't know what to expect but were very pleasantly surprised. The pitches were large and the pitching rules simple and easy to follow. There were plenty of water and waste disposal points around the site. The Toilet and Shower facilities were of the highest standard, very clean well maintained. The site shop was well stocked with all sorts of essential items, none of which were particularly over priced. The club was large enough and the entertainment was great, keeping our children amused for hours on end. The outdoor pool was excellent, clean and had lifeguards on duty all the time. Access to the private beach took just a 2 minute walk from the touring park, and the shingle beach means you don't get half a ton of sand brought back! We had a great time a Freshwater and would love to go back, definitely recommended!

Very clean site, could do with more showers in 2nd block as during busy periods there was a long que also during wet weather the toliet/shower block could do with being cleaned more often. Excellent activities for children no need to leave site swiming pools and surrounding areas very clean and lifeguards @ poolside all the time, onsite stables offering donkey, pony and horse riding. Onsite fish & chip shop very expensive and not that great. Onsite shop average selection some items overpriced touring park is controlled by security staff 24hrs a day very well lit only downside was the noise from the sheep and donkeys in the small hours have a chat amongst themselves i will return to this site as on all occasions the staff were very polite and helpful on our visit to this site we attended with the in laws, our nephew and the two dogs we had a great time visiting many seaside resorts including bournemouth and lyme regis the location of this site is ideal as you have the beauty of the coast and the countryside the dogs had a great time on all the dog walks on and offsite plenty of doggie bins so you don't have the carry their mess for too long 4.99 star rating from us ***** enjoy from Claire, Steven, Mady George, Nathan and Barney N Ralphy
