- Silver Sands Holiday Park is a family-run quiet holiday park and is set in the dramatic and beautiful countryside of the Lizard Peninsula, the most southerly part of mainland Britain, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is just a short woodland walk through the totally unspoilt National Nature Reserve to the clean, sandy, award winning twin beaches of Kennack Sands.
Since 2005 Silver Sands Holiday Park has been awarded the coveted David Bellamy's Gold Award; granted in recognition of the park's commitment to the preservation of the natural environment here in Cornwall.
With peace and tranquillity at Silver Sands Holiday Park, it is ideal for families, couples and singles alike, whether you want "away from it all" relaxation or a more active sightseeing / touring holiday. Pets are welcome with well trained and responsible owners. - Tourist Attractions
- A Short drive away are the enchanting fishing villages of Cadgwith, Coverack, Mullion harbour and the incomparable beauty such as Helford Passage and Frenchman's Creek. Other places to visit are the spectacular Lizard Point, overwhelming Kynance Cove with its caves and golden sand.
There are plenty of local attractions to keep the whole family happy - visit Goonhilly Satellite Station, Flambards Theme Park, Poldark Mine or St. Micheal's Mount and the Seven Wives St Ives. See the Seal Sanctuary at Gweek, Paradise Bird Garden or Trebah and Glendurgan Gardens.
Energetic swimmers can surf in the mild gulf stream waters or try diving, fishing, windsurfing, riding or golf - they are all available locally. - Directions
- From Helston follow signs to Goonhilly Earth Station (the big satellite dishes). At the next cross roads turn right (towards Ruan minor). After a mile turn left to Gwendreath and we are at the end of the lane.
